Pastel Corporate Wear

Written By Unknown on Thursday, November 8, 2012 | 10:55 AM

So thanks to Catherines photography tips I think today's pics are at least a little more interesting.  I had fun experimenting although husband assistant was not pleased to take longer with the photo duties!

Outfit Details: Charade dove grey pencil skirt (thrifted), Portmans pink cardigan (thrifted), white slingback wedges (thrifted), gap frilled singlet, fresh water pearls bought in Spain years ago.

In my quest to avoid black this week I thought I'd try out some pastel work wear - and very girly styling.  So often office workers and consultants fall back to black for a professional look. Nikki from Styling You blogged yesterday on Corporate Wear and as she said, starting with a structured piece (regardless of colour) gives your outfit the polish needed to build on.

I started with this lovely dove grey pencil skirt (my structured piece - which probably needs two inches taken off) and then added some feminine frills with the cardigan and top, and my small fresh water pearls.  I felt gorgeous all day!  Is anyone else wearing pastels to work?
