This is my current statement necklace collection (in addition to the 50 sets of beads I have!). I'm dying to find some neon and colourful ones to add - but haven't stumbled across the right ones yet.

Some of the best advice so far has centred on colour and shapes;
Try colours to match, to clash, to complement, or to enhance a pattern.
Try necklaces over your collar, to enhance cleavage (see above), square with square neckline, round with round or to draw attention to your face (bright colours).
One of the tips I've yet to successfully adopt is layering your jewellery - maybe this weekend I'll have a more concentrated effort to make that work! Here's what I've tried so far, with some beads slipped in for good measure...
