Copycatting

Written By Unknown on Thursday, March 7, 2013 | 12:20 PM

Sometimes it's nice to take inspiration from bloggers and the real world; but some days when you're busy or totally lacking the energy to be creative it's ok to just copy (as long as you acknowledge the source of course!).  I recently did a bit of blog maintenance (updating the 'Blogs I Love' page) and here are two of my fav bloggers and my copycat outfits from this week :)

What is the chances of owning the same scarf continents apart hey! Thanks Feathers and Freckles for the chance to copy one of your beautiful outfits.  I love the effect of capped sleeves - not for everyone I know but I think they are brilliant at widening my shoulders and therefore making my waist seem smaller.

What I wore: Glassons yellow skirt, Glassons white top, Carvela nude suede wedges, Shanton aztec scarf.

And secondly the very well-known Kendi Everyday.  Whilst researching Kendi's 30x30x30 challenge I came across this simple and comfortable work outfit.

What I wore: Charade NZ made dove grey pencil skirt, Dotti cobalt shirt, Overland white wedges, thrifted silver beads, thrifted NZ made leather Mellencamp handbag.

My skirt could probably do with being an inch or two shorter but as I'm seriously challenged in the sewing department it's likely to stay this way for a while yet!

Linking up today with the gorgeous women at Casual Friday, Friday Letters, Casual Chic Mom, What I Wore to Work and Fashion Friday.   Happy weekend all :)
