One of the trends that seems to come around again and again - and that I love is monochrome. Luckily with my colouring I can wear both black and white (for many people this is not the case). For this week's Take 5 I decided to work on monochrome workwear and experiment with textures rather than colour. Any of these outfits could be spiced up with coloured shoes, scarves, jewellery, a coat or scarf and in reality that is what I would probably do.
As most workwear on a daily basis in New Zealand tends to be less formal that suits, I started with a pair of Monsoon charcoal wool, high waisted trousers and my favourite No1 Shoe Warehouse leather court shoes.

I can't believe I own three black and two charcoal work skirts, two grey and two black trousers and one grey suit. In the last twelve months I haven't worn much work wear, but when I go back to part-time management consulting next month I'll be dusting off this part of my wardrobe!
In reality today, this is what I wore!
