- ¾ sleeves help add height
- High heels (without ankle straps) lengthen my legs
- Tops that finish after my waist before my hips are best.
- Jackets that button at the waist are flattering
- Check skirt and pant lengths end at slim parts (eg: ankle or just after knee)
- Choose tops that have v-necks to add height, or add chunky necklaces to draw the eye up.
- Look for jackets and tops with shoulder embellishment to draw the eye up.
After an honest shape self assessment (and confirmation from a good friend) I got many of these rules from reading up on body shapes via Trinny and Sussanah or other online sources (search body shape or dressing for pear, etc). Implementing all these wonderful rules is a much trickier business in real life however. I wonder how well I did with proportions today?
