We're enjoying a little respite from the hot sunny days of summer here today.  Whilst we're not seeing a heat wave in the proportions of Australia's, it has been consistently sunny and hot and so a little cloud and wind isn't so bad.

Anyway it gave me a chance to try something other than shorts or a sundress! The white pants trend has been all over 2012-13 in every season.  For those of you that don't know, I served eight and a half years in the navy, leaving five years ago when my son was born. Therefore white pants as a fashion item have been challenging to embrace (as was anything with epaulets or military tailoring!).  Anyway I've done it - white linen pants to be exact and they are awesome.

Super comfortable, extremely versatile and very slimming!  And after all that experience keeping whites clean around ships, and with a husband still serving, I not only kept them clean for the whole day, but I also had plenty of napisan (NZ fabric whitener) on hand should it be required.

Hey I've just noticed that I managed to wear head to toe thrifted items today! Happy Wednesday everyone at Pleated Poppy, Wardrobe Wednesday. Whatever Whenever, Thrifters Anonymous and What I wore Wednesday!
