Today I'm wearing: Zalando two-tone brogues, H&M tights, Stussy olive mini skirt, thrifted gingham shirt (that looks more chambray) with floral cuffs and trim, thrifted black sequin jumper, Shanton silver statement necklace.
Maybe I should have labelled this inspiration week, hmm... Anyway for casual Friday I'm copying another of my favourite bloggers, Rachel the Hat; she has such a quirky, cute way of working dresses and basic pieces that I love.
Today I've attempted to recreate one of Rachel's recent posts and the fantastic preppy country look (see below) - a trend that is currently very popular in the northern autumn with tweed, elbow patches, padded jackets.
As you might notice in all of this weeks pictures the wind has been blowing non-stop (hence the messed up colour and hair). I feel more comfortable at the moment trying out the northern autumnal trends that actually digging into any of my spring/summer stuff! Thanks to today's photographer Kate - these pics were taken between rain showers at the Auckland Museum - what a stunning location!
Have a great long Labour Weekend NZers. Linking up with Casual Friday at:
