So this weeks Take 5 Challenge is a beautifully shaped Dotti olive military jacket, that I bought a couple of years ago but have still only worn a handful of times and mostly with black. When I started to research how I could wear this jacket differently I was surprised to realise that it was pretty much a neutral of it's own.
Here's five ways that you could wear a piece like this:
# 1 - I wore to work (the sparkly gold top underneath really gave this a special feel)
#2 - Going shopping (this Esprit lime dress, with pockets is so versatile and was actually the star of my very first blog post - I apologise for the goofy face)
#3 - Casual weekend (I wore this on Sunday and probably wouldn't have shown you my tights with flats look it it wasn't so windy!)
# 4 - Cafe Breakfast (I think pale jeans are much more appropriate for spring/summer and although it's impossible to see the pale grey stripes on this top here, they were perfect with the jacket)
# 5 - Browsing the local markets (final pic taken in the morning as the evening light died :) but my favourite outfit of the bunch)
I can't believe how many colours olive matches well with (lime, cobalt blue, hot pink, coral, black, grey, white, purple... etc). I know most real fashionista's still stick with the traditional neutrals but I love that with the reinvigoration of military fashion people are really starting to push the envelope.
Here's to getting more wear from a new favourite piece! PS. Please don't forget to enter my Facebook competition and be in to win a $50 Max voucher.
