Trying Out - Slouchy Knits

Happy October everyone.  I bought this jumper online back in August, and whilst I love the convenience of online shopping (and variety), the reality is often summed up by my experience with this jumper - not so great quality, not so great fit, and in summary something I wouldn't have bought if I had seen it on the shelf first.

However...

I do like the feel of wearing it, and by carefully balancing the slouchy-ness of the over sized knit with the rest of the outfit I am getting a bit of wear from it.  I'm loving the colour especially, and despite trying to avoid black with the onset of spring weather, I just don't seem to be able to go past my favourite thrifted velvet skirt!

Envying Patti at Visible Monday and her bare legs and sandals just as she is envying our boot wearing!  Is anyone else trying out slouchy knits?  Any tips ladies for wearing the slouchy look right?
