I'm going to do this post a bit backwards - start with the end in mind - so here's the girls at dinner a couple of days after our shopping trip - WOW huh!
As promised here are some pictures and musings after our girls day out shopping in Bristol. The day had to begin with a coffee of course, but whilst there we also talked seriously about what we needed, wanted or otherwise; the colours that suited each of us best (it was great to get each others opinions) and of course everyone asked if I had researched where the charity shops were!
After some interesting discussions, including one about the instincts our husbands have for which colours suit us best (surprisingly often true), we headed off to shop till we dropped. Thanks to the ladies for sharing their favourite purchases with me.

H&M striped cowl neck tee with tie (only available in store sale stock) |
My friend that I helped with the wardrobe clean out last week bought a whole range of things. She did so well at choosing tops and scarves to compliment what she had already and really expanded her options by all that planning ahead. Can't wait to watch what she wears this week...
Of course I did find the charity shops, after quite a trek through the more ethnic quarter of Bristol, and came back with a few gems. In the retail stores (despite the overwhelming selection) I didn't find a lot off my list - always the way I suppose. After much searching I finally found a great white linen jacket for a wedding I have coming up and a few other bits and pieces.
